Every year in February, a special amateur radio activity called ‘Antarctic Activity Week’ takes place. This year, the 23rd AAW will be held from 16 to 22 February 2026.
Award Rules
All WAP stations have a special WAP reference number (WORLDWIDE ANTARCTIC PROGRAM ) which is passed on during the QSO. This reference must be entered for each QSO in the ‘WAP Ref.’ column of your application form.
The award is given to OM/SWL in two classes:
a) “Basic” at least 5 QSO/HRD with different WAP references,
b) “First Class” 10 or more QSO/HRD with different WAP references.
Only QSO/HRD made between February 16 and 22, 2026 are valid for this award.

QSL cards are not required. Confirmation is available for band and mode.
The award is free of charge and will be sent by email as a PDF file (also available as a JPG file upon request).
